Hello!

My name is Andres Colimedaglia, AKA Yanzo.

I’m a graphic designer and digital illustrator based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
My work is inspired by people, vintage photographs, charming cities, classic literature, and everyday objects with a story behind them. I think It’s not necessary to mention that the nautical atmosphere is one of my favorites themes.
I especially enjoy children’s picture books, as well as reading (and sometimes writing) fantastic, eerie and atmospheric stories.

MY PROCESS:

I am mainly a digital illustrator.
After developing a concept, I begin with traditional pencil or pen sketches, then digitize them as the foundation for the final artwork.
Instead of relying on outlines, I use color, shapes, light, shadow, and texture to bring each illustration to life.
I work on a MacBook Air, using Adobe Photoshop and a Wacom Intuos tablet.

MY WORKSPACE:

My studio is located in my home, which I share with my girlfriend (and mother of our son), who is also a graphic designer.
There, I create illustrations for Yanzo and collaborate on the brand we’ve been developing together since 2013: Vincent Cousteau.
